Alright lads.

My ever expanding contact list - ;) - has thrown this little gem at me:

A Tournament at a place called "Riverdale Hall", which includes:

3 Games of cricket per team

Teas after each game

Breakfast

3 Course Evening meal

Accommodation and full use of facilities.

All for the cost of £60-£65, and is being held on Sunday 29th - Monday 30th May. Now, the problem is Riverdale Hall is up in Northumberland so we'd have to arrange transport. And Houghton have a game on the 29th, so if people are interested then decisions would have to be made.

Let me know what you all think.
 

I'm in sounds good. Pointless getting a minibus as its only in Northumberland.

We can always ask a few from houghton if we are short too.

out of interest what kind of teams will we be playing?

Its a cracking venue. IIRC its on the banks of the Tyne.

The old Chairman at the Fell (1990s) was mates with the owner at the time and we played up there.
 
It's a 4 team tournament - and the only one I know that are playing are Emerson CC.

One team has dropped out so they need answers pretty sharp-ish otherwise they're going to have a 3 team tournament.

looks great and for 65quid you can't go wrong for all of what is included

Emmerson's are a amateur team who have a few decent players so the standard probably won't be too tough. I reckon we could compete against them

Sounds mint. Although I'll probs not be able to play due to Houghton :-(

Experience of trying to sort the tour tells me you should get eleven lads committed to paying the £65 before you say yes though.
