Mate I had my two young boys 3 and 5 went to our designated Fanzone when about 30 of your lot cane steaming in kicking and punching anything that moved. I had to drag my two very scared boys out the way. I would expect behaviour like that from a local rival but a club that is literally the other end of the country with no connection at all I find f***ing bizarre. I also saw lots of this before and after the game my 5 year old was so scared he has said he doesn’t want to go again

Would have been interesting to see what happened if they had not stopped the game and seen the reaction by the police and the weeding out of the individual ....was there more lined up ala Coventry but they lost the confidence to carry it out.

Intimidation is part and parcel of being a fan. But at the leaving of both grounds it had that real edge from Pompey fans imo.

Leaving Wembley I was with me uncle who's 75 and tries to get on with everyone. He was trying to chat to Pompey fans and telling them well done etc, and we were getting edge and 'crying on Netflix' etc in return. I actually had to tell him to stop trying to craic on with them as not everyone Is as canny as him.
Before today's match there were Pompey fans in the fanzone, all fine. But again, leaving , there was the edge again.
Walking outta north stand there was the edge, in ya face etc.

Weird.

Not sure what to make of it. Spoke to some decent Pompey fans over the last 2 games but also felt a definite edge.

Was chatting about it in the car coming home tonight.

With both Cov and Pompey, it's like they've been down in the lower leagues for a few seasons, playing at the smaller clubs and grounds... but then this year they've got a big club with a big stadium and sizable support down there with them and now they've developed small-bloke syndrome. All of a sudden Sunderland are the enemy cos we've dared to come and join them in the shit leagues.

All the sad little wankers from the shit estates who only come out for 2 or three games a season have decided to show their muscles this year at the Stadium of Light. It's all a bit weird, I have to say.
 
When alls said and done like, its the first time in any game I've attended in 30 years ive seen a match stopped for crowd trouble.
And Pompey and safc fans can thank those lovely Coventry fans for that!

I don’t know if it’s just this site , or the modern world in general but people sat behind keyboards just want to moan and bitch about anything they can . If I said a buffalo was thrown from the top tier it would spread like wildfire on this site , imagine within minutes the new post Would be created ( POMPEY LAUNCH BUFFALO FROM TOP TIER ) only for reactions like ‘ they have been doing it for years ‘ . ‘ seen them do that at Bradford ‘ , I got threatened with a buffalo outside Wembley ‘ , ‘ ban the buffalo ‘ . It’s absolutely crazy, like a soap opera . The truth is you don’t like our support because it’s a challenge to your higher status so you like to knock us down a peg or two , you like to tarnish our reputation . I have said many times on here pompey fans don’t condone what the lad did today and glad he was arrested . But it’s time to get real or start providing evidence about how bad we are . It’s funny how in the modern era of phones etc , I havnt seen any footage of Pompey fans behaving badly at the Wembley final ( yet I have read hundreds of posts saying how vile we were that day ) . Pompey’s forum has a whole post dedicated to the carnage we apparently create . You should read it to get a good humoured read on how you come across , and how funny we think it is that you think we are the new Millwall lol . Sour grapes I think . I hope for the mackems I met at Wembley they don’t have to sit next to you lot at the SOL .
