Pop Recs - Supporting Local Gigs

Enjoyed that, 1977 was the first album I ever bought with my own money when I was 14 but that was the first time I’ve actually seen them live. Crowd was good and didn’t seem too rammed for a sold out gig. Could have done without Claudia though.

That was a fantastic gig. Bumped into someone who knew me off Twitter beforehand then met friends who I haven't seen for twenty years.
Gig was fantastic then had a drink with the band afterwards. Genuinely lovely people who loved the venue. Tried to persuade them to play the Fire Station and they loved the idea of it.
Friend's fifteen year old son had no idea who they were beforehand but loved it.
Was worried that the new stuff wouldn't work but it all blended in.
Overall one of those nights that you'd be gutted if you missed.

Bought a signed copy tonight. Talked myself into a belated birthday present.

20-odd year since I last saw them. Took me back to being sat in my bedroom listening to Free All Angels. Class gig, really glad they came to play Pop Recs.

My son met them In Mexico 70 before the gig and said they were great and sent me a picture of him with Tim Wheeler.

My friend took her 15 year and old to see Steve Craddock last night and he loved it.

Me and @The Ram wandered right across town for a pint, should have just stayed there for one 😂
The bass player did go into town looking for somewhere to drink. My friend is good mates with them so I got invited upstairs to have a beer with them. They were lovely with me despite me being a hanger on.
Fair play to them as well. Michael told them that there was a young fan loitering about outside in the hope of getting to meet them so they went down to say hello.

They loved it in there. They'd asked for recommendations from my friend and said it was right up their street.
