Not the only one either. Rashid and Bresnan have also not been offered new deals. Lees too but he's one that does need another challenge.

Bresnan in any other cap but the White Rose is unthinkable. Something is seriously wrong at this club and that's even with the "help" from FTECB. From board to coaching staff to the dearth of talent coming through the academy, it's all shite.

As a Hull City fan it makes me wonder if the Allams have taken over at Headingley as well!

rotten core?

There has to be money problems. How else can we suddenly not afford another overseas to replace Stanlake and even more worryingly why the sudden clearout or quality long standing players. That's without mentioning the cheap option appointment of the only-just-retired captain as Head Coach.

Proud to be a "Doubter" Mr Gale. Keep trying to prove us wrong for more than one game in succession.

Sounds like some of it is due to Yorks annoyance over IPL commitments.

But I'm not sure if it's right for Plunkett to return, I'd rather look at younger lads getting a chance - but, if there's cash there for both and Durham think they're still short on bodies then I wouldn't object. (think I've got all bases covered there).

BRING HIM HOME

I'm sure we can arrange for LoveShack to be reopened for him

Seriously though, at 33, I'm sure if we could get somewhere near to his financial demands he'd be favourable towards playing at Durham due purely to logistical and sentimental reasons.

Possibly. But Rimmington is here all season, Plunkett would have missed quite a few and we already have a few lads who do that.

And there's a possibility that we'll see more of Wood than we expected …. plus will Wood get a central contract next year?

On a more positive note. Congratulations Patto on the new contract and taking the captaincy
Delighted to see a YCCC captain from the East Riding. Knock these Wessie bastards into shape

yeah thats why i dont see it happening. the cost would be too much for what we'd get out of him

He will no doubt be looking for a three year deal

Plunkett would play few CC games so I see him going to a 'big' side and just playing limited overs stuff.

Said on another thread it's either madness ot financial problems. Neither would surprise me at this club.
I can understand 'failing to agree' that happens, but not even offering is mad.

He'll be 34 for the start of next season … wonder if Durham could offer him something. 34 for a smart cricketer bowling and batting - could be a Colly replacement.

I wish. He will no doubt get the "experience role" at Warwickshire or Notts on a 3 yr deal.

Edit. Or Surrey if Rikki Clarke calls it a day.
