Players time wasting

Refs are shit scared of dealing with it.

The only time I've seen it handled properly was Durham Women v Man Utd Women.

Man U keeper wasting time in the first half by not releasing the ball. Ref gives a free kick and says do it again, and it's a yellow. Keeper then took ages with a goal kick; Ref didn't gesture, just pulled out a yellow and said, if you don't think I'll give you another, just do it again and find out.

No more time-wasting occurred.
It's just the same as any other top European league just marketed better.
Hence why interest in top-level football is struggling, paying a fortune for a ticket or a subscription to watch 38 mins of the ball being in play is very poor value.

Sad as fuck and should result in harsher punishments. If a player gets booked for time wasting and they continue to do it, it would be great seeing the ref give a 2nd yellow rather than thinking the first serves as a good enough deterrent.
Needs to be clamped down earlier rather than 83 minute like in the spurs game

Stop clocks and shorten halves and timewasting stops.

Another thing as well from yesterday. We just went 2-0 and had momentum and the gake was stopped for 5 minutes amd flattened everything. Incentivises fans hoying things.
IMO stopping the clock would make the issue worse, if the time wasting intention is to stop momentum.

Will turn into American football and timeouts

Never going to be possible until they bring in a maximum dead ball time default.

Its like saying 'we need to clamp down on speeding drivers' without having a set speed limit.
