Plantar fasciitis

savage this like ive had it 3 times in 4 years lasting a week at the most but actually unable to walk without support at least 2 or 3 days out of that week.. was talking to some lass when we were in New York last week and she said they just operated on hers i think they snip the muscle or something

Yes. Got it training for the 2019 GNR. 2 cortisone injections in 2021 and I still get it if I attempt to run or do a long walk. Absolutely hideous. No stretching or tennis balls rolling or medication will touch it.

Good luck getting it sorted, hopefully its just mild.
I've had it twice, and both times, i manged to persuade my GP to go down this route too. I think most GP's will not want to offer it as it will seemingly go itself in time. But you can argue that you are a fit and active person, who does a lot of sport to keep fit, but the plantar fasciitis is stopping you from doing that

I know a woman who goes private and she reckons she's charged £150 for a cortisone injection which might go some way in explaining the reticence of doctors to authorise them! There's a consultants fee on top of that too, but its good to know if it does ever come back big time thats an option

Had it in both feet way back in early 90's. Had four lots of of injections; numerous physio sessions; did all the stretching exercises & tried the tennis ball soft toy approach. Nothing worked & I was plagued with it for over a year.

Broke my leg & ended up in plaster from toe to hip for 7 months. Cleared it up fine & thankfully hasn't returned.

TBH not sure what was worse.

Was in Kings College hospital for two days & they were concerned over the swelling of the leg after I'd broken it. They couldn't get a full plaster on it. Took me back down to surgery where they discovered they'd set it wrongly. So the doctor called in two orderlies who held me down while he casually re-broke it.

Brought tears to me eyes & still does today
