Plane Watch

Played don't fly in for talks like.

They only fly in for the medical and to sign once the deal has been agreed.

Mukiele is very much in our category not the mags, so it he really is on that plane then it's almost certain he's about to sign for us.
I don't really deal in absolutes until we know more but I understand there are more connections to us, including his agency too.

But really all we know is that he's on that plane. I know they don't really come up before medical and signature, I was illustrating the point that we don't know what he's here for

I've always liked him. He's big and strong, can play CB and RB. I think he's been more of an RB in his career but has absolutely been fine at CB. He'd be good on the right of a back 3 as well.

In another thread, I was suggesting signing a player that can play CB and RB so that if Ballard or Hume don't step up, we've got somebody in that area. He would be that guy.

I'd say he's a premier level athlete, my worry would be he'd be expected to do a high volume of defending (like Alderete has been doing) and I'd hope he has that in him. He's generally played for teams that are at the higher end of their league

Edit: he was really highly rated at Montpellier and Leipzig, hence the move to PSG. Probably hasn't hit the levels that were maybe hoped for him, but we're talking CL level football there. So no issue really for us until next season when we qualify
He’ll have been doing a shit load of defending at Montpellier even in a good season.

Going to be hilarious when he ends up signing for the Mags and we all have to change to the "he's shite anyway, always injured" tact
If he's more a right back then I'd rather we didnt spend a good chunk of the budget on an injury prone right back.

I'm already prepared.

Trippier had been linked away like the other poster said

But the difference is Newcastle don’t keep business quiet. We do, I think we’d have heard if he’s going Newcastle if he’s at the flying in stage of business.

10 starts in the league (5 subs), 5 champions league, 4 cup games
If he’s even on nodding terms in his local with any of the PSG team who played in either game against Liverpool in last seasons CL then he’s as good as anyone I’ve seen in our red n white stripes.
