It's baffling how many people are commenting on arsebook and now the Chronicle saying "should have just given it to charity". They obviousy fail to realise that without the gimmick there would have been fuck all for charity in the first place as nobody would have bothered asking for donations. If they are that bothered then why not start a charity request for something? No doubt they'd soon see it probably wouldn't get as much money as this will end up getting. There's plenty of places to give to charity already and many people who have given for the plane already donate elsewhere throughout the year.

Why not just accept it's a simple piss take gimmick? It is a shame the negative people are moaning but why not just donate instead? I honestly thought we'd get a £1,000 for donation as every penny now is going to be donated. People are still begrudging the money being spent on a plane and ignoring the current £250 that would never have been raised in the first place! :rolleyes:

It is , pissing the mags off. If you put anything in now it will go to charity . So your money will still count and your sense of moral superiority can be maintained , win win...or do we all have to change to get you to give £10 . Your not putting conditions on your giving are you ?
