Well, that's the most surprising post of the day.

Hasta la vista.
(note that that's a farewell salutation where there is no certainty that we shall meet again. I hope.)
What a strange character you are. I can get by in Italian and Portuguese too and my Greek used to be ok. I´m also a civil servant employed by Brussels to teach Primary children from around the EU to speak English. Life´s full of surprises.

The 17th minute will be fine as long as it's out of the way for the 18th minute, the minute the thick fucks actually clap in.

Thanks Karen. Holding up. Flying back in the morning as it's half term here. Would have been his birthday on Sunday so we are all going out for a meal tomorrow and a day on the drink and eats on Sunday too. Thankfully, without the stress of relegation Sunday :-) I hope you are doing well too and have a nice unexpectedly relaxing weekend.

 I'm sure you will all raise a glass to him.

We said goodbye to my mother in law last thursday 5th of May (very memorable date for safc fans) and it's her birthday tomorrow 14th, but she had vasicular dementia, heart and kidney problems so there was no getting better for her and it was a blessing she passed peacefully. As you say thank goodness we don't have the stress of last day nerves. I don't think your family or ours could have coped with the added strain. Take care and once again my condolences to all your family. xxx

Just finished work so dont know whats happened for the last 5 hours or so on here, total for the banner has been reached so any extra will be given to charity, I have added the total so far to the gofundme as an offline donation so it wont be subject to a fee, I will add any further donations that go to the paypal in the same way, I will make the donation after the game and will pay on monday to whoever is decided on here. Like I said i will keep a running total and hopefully we can raise money for a good cause

Hmmmm, you should have a read as it's interesting to say the least

Hoy up the payment details again then and let us know how much is in the donation kitty ;)

Thanks again. And sorry for your mother in law. Even when it's better to leave this world it's still difficult when it finally happens. You're right about the relief of not having any added stress :-) x

You started it and you've completely ignored the point I was making. I was quoting from Terminator 2 and I doubt that you didn't understand that. I didn't ever suggest that "no problemo" was correct. I was defending my use of "Hasta la vista" which you said should be "hasta luego". It shouldn't.

"Hasta la vista" and "hasta luego" are bit like "au revoir" and "a demain". The difference is between a farewell salutation where there is no certainty, but a hope, of meeting again (hasta la vista) and a farewell salutation where it is almost certain another meeting will take place (hasta luego).

Sorry if your linguistic knowledge is not terribly deep. My isn't either, but I do understand that many languages, not excluding Spanish, are more subtle than a Brit on a foreign beach might think.
Is there a Spanish equivalent of adieu? As in 'see you in heaven' [but not before then].

Does our premier league status offend you SAFC

What's this got to do with Hmmmmm
I liked it but you'd have to get rid of safc and replace it with a question mark.
