Where do you draw the line though? How do you determine who is going to act like a dick and who isn’t. You also completely miss the club’s and EFLs responsibility towards the officials.
There is a rule for a reason, everyone who breaks it is a dick because they will not be going to Wembley and didn’t have intelligence to work it out beforehand.
Tell you something else Isidor is a dick as he could have been booked when he ran towards fans and be suspended for final.
Stop making excuses for people being dicks.

I think you are spot on with drawing the line.
Unfortunately only takes a few to ruin it for all.

Take emotion out of this game though and it’s not the same.
All for players celebrating with their own fans.
We have celebrated on the pitch at away games as have Sunderland. Tough one to call.

Most laws are unjust on the majority as they are there to control the minority.

I can’t see how it would be acceptable to the majority to have beer poured on you.

I’ve tried juggling pints at big Rugby games and end up losing half of what I buy and turning the terrace into a water fall.

Thing is rugby does not create the same excitement and ecstatic moments football so it’s a completely different environment.

I don’t want to cover people in beer or be covered in beer.

I got covered in beer at the World Cup in Germany by a German when Germany scored …. But I think that’s because I was English. That felt like retaliation

I understood that the law was supposed to be equitable to all.

A club can choose not to sell beer (some do on away days), but for it to be illegal to sit in exactly the same seat to watch a different sport with a beer as you could yesterday or tomorrow is completely wrong. It was a bigoted law against the working class. It doesn't have anything to do with liking it or not or anyone probably throwing it or not. It is simply unjustifiable to have that as a criminal offence.

your first sentence is not the reality, on this subject the law is there to protect the majority from the minority of specifically football fans.

I always hate it when people use terms like bigoted law against working class. I come from generations of pit village working class people, who lived unbelievably hard lives compared to us. For the most part they were the most proud and respectful people in society. They didn’t need laws to control their behaviour.
Working class follow other sports where beer can be drank in arenas without issue.

You are talking about an altogether different thing, a feral underclass with no respect for their themselves, their families let alone their community what ever that might be.

What’s more this class of people ignore laws as there is no proper punishment or accountability for breaking them.

Frankly you’re right beer should be allowed to be drank in football stadium arenas I just think it might be detrimental to football attendances

This.

It absolutely should be allowed but at the same time, anyone abusing it by chucking pints around should get a lifer- not bleeding heart liberals claiming that they just couldn’t control their emotions.

I was born to a working class family in Ryhope and my grandad spent his life down the pit there and he or any of his friends would never have behaved like some of the “working class heroes” who dance around in football pitches with their tops off and their phones out.

I guess so. In the context of the question I was thinking of big gigs and festivals, that would be a lot of money and travel to do that.
 
Bumped this thread because I didn't see any discussion of the pitch invasion at Portman Road when the Tractors Boys clinched automatic promotion oh the last match of the season. Any consequences for the club since they were promoted? Who applies the penalty (EFL or the Premier League)?

Why would it be the premier league?

Either the EFL or the FA I would have thought
