Pink Seats BBQ

Aye and we can get the mag twat back that ripped the seat out during the under 23 game earlier in the year - that would f***ing learn him !!

It's a great idea to get everyone together but I doubt the club would be able to do it due to health and safety.

What could happen is a big BBQ with live music and a chance for the club's staff/players to mingle with the fans for an entrance fee, that fee could then go towards the repairs such as seats and painting.

Just a thought like.

Surely people could just sign a waiver. What’s gonna happen, people hurt a finger taking off a seat? Not like people will be up painting the roof in danger of falling off.

Don't know mate, there's some pretty think fuckers about and then they'd all have to be supervised by people who are qualified, like I said, as an idea it's great but I think it would be a bit off a nightmare to sort out.

Hopefully, there will be plenty of things happening to get the fans feeling like it's their club again.

I would like to retain my pinkish seat (West Stand limited UV Bleaching) but personalise my seat to my individual taste if I could. Broad Red and White striped padded seat covers (fire retardent material of course to comply with current flame spread Regs) finished off with black piping to all hems. I promise to maintain them to a high standard of care and hygiene, all at no charge to SAFC, whilst making a donation to Charity as previously mentioned. Can anyone see any issues that may arise?

its cringey and smalltime apparently and what will the mags think
Who gives a fuck what the hoss punchers think.
IMHO one of the problems we have had over the last few years is that we have been engaged in a cock waving contest with those silly fuckers up the road in regards to money, facilities and infrastructure of the club.
What matters to us is SAFC and results on the pitch not what some scabby gravy stained Durham Mag thinks of my club
We will always have the six in a row and it f***ing kills them. That's what matters.

One of the worst ideas I've heard so far. It literally sounds like an idea that a Northern league team would do as an end of season fundraiser.

Those saying it would be a PR move, it would be a PR disaster with unparalleled levels of piss taking.

Think they could help themselves out by having red and white sections of seats (apart from where the massive logo and new seats are in the east stand) as the white seats probably don't need replacing as often.

Would be a great idea in theory. Sadly social media would be all over it and it would likely be a massive negative for the club in the end. Such is the shitty modern world we live in

Remember reading Clough autobiography and in his day the apprentices has to sweep the stands, paint the barriers and areas of the stands etc. Shame they don’t have to do that anymore. All of the above helps give a sense of pride and connection to the club, sadly done away with

Exactly this. Atletico Madrid had similar never understood why at least the bottom bowl isn’t in red and white stripes

I like the idea of local students and artists creating designs for the concourses like. Bit of decent graffiti aswell possibly.

i dont know how some will sleep at night , knowing phil, 53 from the toon said on twitter "propaa smal teimm from thaa makaams leikk , payntan la staydeeum #lalas"

All up for the club doing work in the community - and it does a fair bit that goes unrecognised as it is...

Don't give a fuck what the horse-punchers care, either...

BUT

Not going along with this: it's lamey, PR, nonsense. A gimmick.

Donald needs to stop trying so bloody hard to ingratiate himself - he's got enough good will in the bank merely for delivering us from the misery. I'm not really sure I want the footballers to be all matey with fans, and I'm even less sure that either of us should be replacing the seats.

Just get the job done - and get us a team that works hard on the pitch for 90 minutes. That's all we want. No gimmicks.
