I've already sent the club an email offering my services for what its worth. Hope the idea takes off. Like the idea of naming stands too. Charlie Hurley, Shack, Raich Carter, Bobby Gurney stands would be good names for a start. Bradley Lowery family stand wouldn't be a bad idea either!
I don’t think the family are keen, my thread when I suggested it got pulled

Brilliant idea tbf. Posters on here have long asked for a better connection between the club and fans.

I’m happy to get involved

I’ve said this on here before, why not sell the seats to the fans like they once did with the bricks . Get a shiny new seat with your name on it For say 25 notes.

Small club mentality?

They mentioned this been a problem, people not actually behaving like a league 1 club. They said in the whole time that they have been here people behave like we are still a premier league club so no wonder we have not been able to adjust and get things right. They said everyone at the club and fans need to realise where we are, they know, we know we are a huge club but we are league 1 and need to adjust accordingly.

Getting fans involved certainly at this early stage is a great idea. It’s got a bit to do about saving costs but that’s not the only aim and I’m sure anyone who is able to get involved will be very proud of what they do and I’m sure it will be appreciated by all involved at the club.

I hope things like this do happen continually as it’s aomething I’d love to get my daughter involved in but doubt a 2 year old will be very helpful in painting and diy!

She'd probably manage as best as most. Two year olds can spread paint far and wide.
Besides, you could always dip her in the tin and use her as a brush. Imagine bringing her back years later and saying "see that bit there pet? We did that"

Haha very true! The bit I bold is exactly what I’d like to do although it might be more of ‘daddy did this while you caused havoc and ran round on the pitch and told everyone off’

I have thought about that. You would expect it at a premier league or championship club (hold that thought)

For example a few of us are meeting down our grassroots club tomorrow night to do some maintenance work on the clubhouse.

But if it all helps reconnect the club and the fans then it's worth it.

I'm in two minds on it to be honest, but either way it's hardly the end of the world.

Going back to comment above that you wouldn't expect it at a premier or championship club, that was one of Charlie and Stewart's points - the club still thinks it's in premier league.

Maybe a bit of refocus is what we all need.
