PIF sports funding

I get the insults but not following this comment. I think there's more than one thread on here about the Mags? Probably a few thousand?
And don't know what Thursday afternoon has to do with it (maybe if you'd said Friday or Saturday night then yeah).
As I wanted to know why SAFC fans appear to talk more about NUFC than their own club, then this is the best place to do it, there's not much point asking on Toontastic.net. if I want an honest response.
Even though it's a huge news story at the moment and many places are talking about it, not just us, I'll put this to bed seeing as you're offering fuck all to the forum with your sad pathetic WUM attempt and hopefully @Pancho saves us all the trouble of your blah blah blah and gets his ban hammer out.

You're talking percentages, well it just so happens I looked at Toontastic when The Fish was coming out with the same shit a few years ago. I'll quote a bit of the post that may get you to voluntarily crawl back under your rock before you're booted.

A few more simple calculations means around 830,000 posts since the thread started in 2012, of which 27,000 posts are in that single thread which works out at 3.25%. So roughly every 30th post on Toontastic has been about this forum for over 11 years! 🤣😂🤣😂 I don't even need to look at the RTG stats to know that every 30th post on this forum isn't about the mags and therefore as a percentage it will be a lot less.

Just reading some of the mags comments on twitter there, I'm confused by PIF selling that Saudi club now, thinking it was start of the murderers bailing out of the mags yet reading that it seems its going to be the opposite, it seems like they can now sell players for inflated prices to compensate for PSR or SCR whatever they're called now

Anyone care to clarify for me a little bit please

It could potentially happen if they sold to a club without any PIF connections but they sold 70% of the club so still have 30% of Al-Hilal. Even without checking I'd dare say it's still an associated party etc and will not pass UEFA's financial rules.

If they sell the whole club then the person they've sold it to could be a mate of a mate of a mate for all we know and that may allow it.

By the looks of it they are just palming off most of al hilal to another stupidly rich Saudi fella to pour his millions into and keeps up the appearance the league is a success rather than a cash cow for players who decide to play there

No idea if they are gonna pull out of the mags or not, but their sporting approach is all over the place anyway.
Taking over golf doesn't really sound like a money spinner just a case of chucking millions at a few top end golfers for some pr.
Similarly with the mags, gets them a bit of pr but as an investment no football club makes money unless they are sold so again all a pr trip.
Add in boxing as well, more pr but ultimately just chucking large amounts at boxers.
World cup, gonna be a massive loss maker for them but the pr will be worth it in their eyes, and the stadiums will be crumbling a few years after the word cup ends
Fuck knows what the rest of pif invest in but id assume the other investments worldwide will pay for the silliness in their scatter gun sporting 'investments'

These are some of best the times in the history of SAFC, but 99% of the posts on here are about NUFC. Why?
because you are there to be mocked, and mocking Newcastle United in these times when they are at their most mockable is a massively, hugely enjoyable past time. Newcastle United and their fans are a joke, and because they don't realise that, it makes it even funnier to mock them. Social media especially, some of the worst human beings you can possibly wish for, going into absolute meltdown over a sport, a sport that they believed they would be taking over and winning everything but 5 years ago. Belittling everyone else along their merry way. There is no way I'm not gonna f***ing mock the bastards now it's all going tits up on them.

There you go, hope that explains it a little bit for you.

I’ve never been onto their forums. You never even see them mentioned on here.

The fact they have a dedicated thread about this place and even a twitter account is frankly a bit odd..

Then you get wankers like this @blahblahblah fella coming on here to get bites so they can post screenshots? Bless them.

We’re obsessed though 😂

99 per cent ?-on this forum?
Maths not your strong point?-( I know you being ironic marra ) but if you can’t understand why as fans many wouldn’t enjoy the current situation and compare our current plight with our massive spending neighbours then as a fellow Sunderland fan I’m gobsmacked

Our current plight? Plight? Hahahaha i’d rather chop my cock off than see us trade places with that culture-less, soulless, husk of a club, they are a franchise of Saudi Arabia, everything that made Newcastle Newcastle f***ing went the minute the deluded masses of that great old city of the north whored themselves out for their ghoullish masters

Well at least you acknowledge it! Thank you Glen 😊

Fair enough, but it does nothing to dispel the belief within the NUFC fanbase that the SAFC fanbase's identity is driven by hatred of their rivals.

True, but not it'ts not so much the number of threads, rather that most of the posting overall is about NUFC - 150+ about Anthony Gordon in the last few hours and over 300 on PIF. That's probably more than those other 52 threads have combined in the same time period, despite there being so many positive things to discuss about SAFC. See above - it feels like the focus of SAFC fans is always on NUFC.

I meant more generally throughout the forum.
🤡 🤡 🤡

Thought we were irrelevant to you lot though? Why you in here if were irrelevant? Why not just scuttle back to your murdering sympathisers forum and spout your delusions in there and leave us here to continue pissing ourselves about you lot.

Finally I do hope the Saudi sportswashing is about to fail and come crumbling down very very soon as the meltdown would be on epic proportions, them daft twats will be singing about Ali Dia doing the dishes, Talbi (just clicked there, I meant Talbi the shit goalie, not our class winger) will be washing the towels

I've just noticed that there was 956k posts in the Newcastle forum (footy one) on that post from September 2023. There's now 999k in that main forum so 43k more posts since then. The SMB Messageboard Gold thread had 27k in 2023 but it's now 34.8k so gone up at least 7k.

If that's right then at least 7k of the 43k posts since 2023 are in that SMB Messageboard Gold thread which is 16% or 1 in every 6 posts 🤔

@blahblahblah care to expand on this? What’s your login over there so we can see how often you post in that thread

Blimey, seeing these cold hard statistics must be a bit embarrassing for that mag. Shame.

If anything they will sell on
All this speculating and salivating is little more than wishful thinking
The public announcements of behind the scenes impendments suggests they are going nowhere
They'd need to vet someone to pay what they've put in. If they can't do that they'd do what they would with any company, asset strip and close. They've no oligance to British football. The most likely outcome is keep it ticking over big Mike style. Which will be great to see the fanbase react to.

And there you have it. Bucket of shit. Smelling of roses

He's a mag sympathiser that bloke and loves rimming them from what I've seen of him. I'm not sure how you'd see that as smelling as roses as the signs of PIF not investing like they could have been there ages. If anything this latest stuff happening shows it's going to be nowhere near what the maggots thought back in 2021 and many are waking up and smelling the gravy.

That crap about profits etc isn't a fantastic as it seems given they sold the leasehold to themselves.

That commercial revenue 'growth' is partially inflated as some of it is PIF sponsoring themselves with SELA and NOON so it's their own money anyway 🤪

If they didn't have related party sponsors then they may not get the same as what they're paying themselves.
