Lad I know is pretty much best mates with Pickford and told me yesterday that this is done.

£35m after addons and they're setting him up with a new gaff etc down south.

Happy new year

Treating this with a large degree of skepticism, but let's say you're being truthful, how reliable is this do you think?

£35m seems well over the odds to me.

He's known him for years. Always in the Tyne Bar with him on snapchat and stuff. Let's just say as soon as he told me, I was on SkyBet trying to find odds on him going to Arsenal...

You are not an attention seeker. Why?
You didn't start a new thread. You found an existing thread and replied to it. Which is the sensible choice given the subject matter.
The days of clubs like us keeping our young talent are over. We are feeder clubs to to the top 6 these days. When we have some "talent" that is.
I hope he stays, for a long time.

Why would I make a new thread haha? I remember seeing this and thinking it was bollocks. So I searched Pickford arsenal and this came up. I hope he stays too.

Did you find any? :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Nah just Defoe on there regarding us

The loaning back to us part would need to be bollocks, we're at our limit. The money would be canny like but would entirely depend on how much is guaranteed and how much is part of the addons (and how they're triggered, no point if £8m is dependant on then winning the CL or similar).

If offered a high price I'd take it though. He'll leave before long anyway, we desperately need to strengthen other areas and we should be able to get a perfectly decent keeper for very little. If we were in a better position in the league or financially I'd hope we kept him but for now we should cash in if we can get a mega money offer

I would be awa the moon with that to be fair. Keepers are piss easy to replace. In my lifetime i think we have had one really shite one

Aye

The fact he said they're buying him a house and stuff quashes the loan back idea anyway

As sad as it would be to see him go, that's a price you can't turn down. In fact, it's absurd

I'm still calling bollocks

Aye

Why would they need to buy him a house? He's a professional football who will be on £100k a week.

Kelvin Davis
Michael Ingham
Ben Alnwick

Not entirely, a house is chicken feed for a football club. Could easily want a place a few months before moving in, gives his missus time to do the redecorating shit before he gets there!

I'd assume this would be a summer transfer due to the fact he is injured and wouldn't pass a medical and in this article it stated we'd loan him back which we can't due to the limit of 2 domestic loans, not sure the rules on a medical though but I'd assume you have have to be fit to pass one
