Is it just me, or do these sort of deals sound arrogant. I know football is dominated by money, but that sounds like some rich blokes f***ing your wife, but will let you have her still.
 
we're skint and the only chance we have of strengthening the squad (if there's any) is by raising funds from sales

£20m would make the lad the second most expensive goalkeeper of all time and he's played what? a handful of premierleague games

as much as i'd like to keep him we probably can't afford to turn down that kind of money if it's forthcoming

personally rate Mannone so don't think it would be that big a loss in the grand scheme of things if it means we can strengthen elsewhere
 
I can imagine him down London when he moves there in a car showroom trying to decide over which car to choose, either a 2005GT or a pristine original RS2000 Cosworth and the car salesman encouraging him along saying, "Which Ford do you want to pick Pickford me owld china plate?".

Haven't really seen that much of him to be honest, I know he is highly rated and was in really good form until his injury. Nice to have a few really top young keepers.
 
Lad I know is pretty much best mates with Pickford and told me yesterday that this is done.

£35m after addons and they're setting him up with a new gaff etc down south.
