Matterface has improved on telly for me lately. The drivel has reduced and he's fairly bland now and a safe pair of hands

Either that or he's just not Drury, such is the annoyance level he generates that anyone benchmarked against him is good

Probably don't even want to watch the big Sunday sky games much because of him alone

Rehearsed weeks in advance too. So fake and forced. Something I also hated about Tyler.

Tyler's commentary for Vardy's 11 game goalscoring streak against Manchester United makes me never want to watch it again. Just be quiet.
 
Seems to carry on a lot as if the game’s still in when the ref has blown to stop/Lino has flagged. You’re at the f***ing game pal you’re meant to know what’s going on.

They all want their own "and some people are on the pitch..." that they want to be remembered by not realising (or caring) that the quote in question was off the cuff, not written in advance and rehearsed so much that it comes across as a script.
 
I’ve never heard a worst commentator. I mean Matterface is horrific but nothing compared to Drury. He’s actually deteriorating too. I dunno if it’s the pressure of being Sky’s main man but he’s worse now then ever

Especially when the alternative could be Vicky 'Pub Landlady' Sparks.
And that is nothing to do with her being a woman.

Are Sky not realising he takes away the enjoyment of the game for a good few? I personally like to hear the crowd’s reaction and think the commentator should be secondary and merely commenting on what is happening - not completely taking over any time the slightest thing happens.
I switched over to Bein’s coverage yesterday as he was driving me mad.
