i once walked past him in c&a in the metro centre, nodded and said 'allright marra' to each other. in truth i thought he was just somebody i recognised from somewhere or other, perhaps work or the pub. it was only when we'd got past that the mrs told me who he was.

I walked past Tim Healy in the Metrocentre once but I didn't say anything because I don't like him.

Ive met Beardsley on several occasions and found him to be a humble, unassuming bloke and a gentleman. Just my opinion though.
