The most underwhelming appointment of a manager in our history and a clear indication that the owners don’t want to go up....IF it is Parkinson.
Mark Douglas from the chronicle is championing him. No surprise there really. I'll be underwhelmed to say the least. However I spent last week letting SAFC get to me so I've decided that I'll shrug it off and get on with it. As you say that's IF it is him.

Seems a good policy to keep.

f***ing hell....I've spent the last 55 years letting SAFC get to me.....it doesn't get any easier I can tell thee!

He also raved about Charlie wyke!

Course it does man. First 40 are by far the worst ;)

Is very true, only in my case about the first 35 before it got really better. But then,in the true Sunderland way,it suddenly went back to worse again!

Fell out with club owners in first stint at Leicester and again when in charge at Derby. Fell out with press over Ostrichgate plus other 'difficult' press conferences. he seems very thin skinned to criticism and could likely wind up supporters when the wins stop.
The SKP package is coming from where and would Nigel be a popular choice without SKP?
Think what you like of him but he took that utter tosser Pat Murphy to task. That is the same Pat Murphy who thinks, him, and only him ever knew Brian Clough.

I don't understand the clamour for him. As far as I can see his claim to fame is that his side Leicester won the Premiership title the year after he was sacked. The remainder of his managerial career revolves around numerous bust ups and relegation. Since his sacking at Oud-Heverlee Leuven I haven't seen any club clamouring for his services. A matter of 22 points from 24 games.

I know what you mean marra, but for some reason I was really pissed off last week. I'm old enough to have had plenty of kicks in the stones.

Not letting it get to me, or continuing to underwhelm the fans? ;)

Not letting it get to you of course.

If it was Parkinson the only saving grace would be at the back of my mind would be how excited we were when Makemenemy arrived....and look how that turned out!

I'm probably kidding myself to be honest mate. It's impossible to just switch it off unfortunately.

Well if it makes you happy, i reckon being able to step back from it is a good thing.
