Sam Johnstone has been a rumour for about umpteen years. Could be where it's come from, or could be there's something in it.

They spent almost £40m last year, getting about £20m back.

I imagine they will be putting out a similar net spend this year. That being said, they need a fair few players, so it would be a hefty chunk of the budget.

Sure they have one of the best rated young keepers around. Our GK coach would've had something to do with him I imagine. Maybe we're asking for him as part of Patto deal

It better not be Sam Johnstone. The single worst player in the PL (well, former now but as of last season).
