Patto

For those looking rid of him, who would you suggest we replace him with if we’re still in the championship next season? He’s one of the better keepers at this level, despite some of the weaknesses in his game. I’ve criticised him myself on plenty of occasions for the inconsistent quality of his kicking and not commanding his box well enough. There’s maybe 2-3 other keepers in this league outside of the other promoted or play off teams who’re “possibly” better all round. For what we might get in a transfer fee for Patto though does anyone honestly think the ownership will invest the chunk of cash needed to upgrade our keeper?

If he did go,imo in my opinion I’d replace him with the fella from stoke

That’s his job. Palmed balls out into the six yard box directly in front of goals plenty times too.
Yeah I think he's still a good keeper, but not the level we'll need if we want to challenge at the top of the league across the whole season.

Matty Young has loads of potential and probably deserves a crack at the number 1 shirt next season.

That’s my point marra. It’s providing Stoke, or whichever teams first choice keeper we might be interested in want to sell.

Totally agree mate but everyone has a price,if that price is ridiculous then we just tell them where to gan and move on to the next target for that position

Matty Young just isn't getting the scrutiny. Look at the first goal he conceded yesterday a low cross that he allowed to travel along his 6 yard line and just imagine the stick Patterson would have got. The Doncaster game live on telly there's a goal that eventually get chalked off incorrectly for offside where he just stays rooted to his line letting it bounce a few yards out before someone scored. Then he gets beat at his near post for the Doncaster goal. He makes them mistakes for us and the crowd would bury him. I mean if a goalkeeper gets criticised for the goal we conceded yesterday the get criticised for all goals we concede ever.

He's only 18 and had loads of improvement to come but people need to give their head a shake if they think he's ready to start at this level.

Yep, to think he could have turned all the 1-0 and 2-1 losses into draws. He’s not even a concern. Imagine him during a game shitting himself over ‘if I give up just one goal we lose’.

Matty Young
Was by all accounts very good when he had his spell in the side at Salford earlier in the season but it seems as though the reports about him have been a lot more mixed since he's come back into the side. Sounds like a cracking prospect but sounds as though he's at least another season away from being ready to be first choice keeper at Championship level.

Needs to leave. Needs a new challenge become extremely complacent a top class keeper in the championship putting in as much weight as he did indicated he is not arsed.
Hasn’t put a match winning performance in in over two years and is hyped to death on here.
No match winning performace against Norwich at home with that blinding tip onto the post in the last few minutes of a 2-1 win. No match winning performance against Sheff Utd at home when he saved a penalty and made a couple of other excellent saves in a 2-1 win? Do you think perhaps you aren't being very objective?
