Why on earth Paterson chooses the short pass out to defenders when he has the option of taking proper goal kicks baffles me. Done it a couple of times today, passed to O'Nien, who shat his pants and passed it sideways as usual. Then we get dispossessed and pressure is instantly back on us. School boy stuff at times

If we want automatic promotion then we need to be ruthless and have strength throughout the spine of the team.

I like Patto and it’s nice to develop our own players, but at some point we need to confident that we have the best possible players in key positions.

At this point imho we are still 3 or 4 players away from being good enough to finish in the top 2.

Mepham on the other hand…

He was like a different player today. Maybe 8 of his passes were intercepted, repeatedly caught short positionally, spilled the ball for the first, and arguably lost his man for the second.

To be fair Mepham has been class for a lot of the season, but he’s not faultless. This isn’t the first time he’s shit the bed, but there’s normally positives to go along with any negatives. Didn’t get that today.

Still rate him though.
