PAT Testing

You can buy the stickers on the net, just fill in with some fictitious company and you're good to go.
I didn't say this.
The OP isn’t allowed pens in case he chokes on the lid or gets poisoned from getting ink on his skin.

This is why he needs to pay a gadgie.

Still no idea whether the OP is serious or not. 😂

Been quoted £2k to get all electrical devices in the house PAT tested. Seems high to me, I do this every few years and I’m sure last time it was only £300-400, which is reasonable.

Anyone know anyone who can do this in East Boldon? Usually takes about a day, but provided the kettle is PAT tested first, you get unlimited cups of tea (not actually unlimited, accepting anymore than 3/4 teas is greedy and rude).
This sounds like something Martin Bryce in Ever Decreasing Circles would do 👍

There's no chance i'd pay a penny for any PAT testing at home.
I stopped work about 13 years back, but still have plenty of power tools at home, plus domestic and kitchen power stuff.
I was compelled to get it done while working every 6 months. It pissed me off then, so it's a relief not to do it now.

Plus, while at work, if i took all my gear into a place to be done, i lost a days pay. Fuck that.
I'm quite happy to be safe and cautious with power tools up to my own safety standards and common sense.

I considered it a tax on my tools.

Why don’t I just deliver all my child’s presents at Christmas in a red suit? Some things you leave to the professionals, I’m afraid.
You can go on a course for about 250 quid and save in the long run.

I know of a large IT company with countless appliances that was quoted 1500 so, yes, 2K is a piss take.

I once knew a bloke who opened the electrical sockets in his house up every year to check the connections were tight. He ended up in a nut house.

Sounds like a Ponzi scheme to me.

The PAT lads at the top of the pyramid are raking it in when mugs like the OP are getting fleeced for a PAT hoping one day to be a PATer themselves. People losing their life savings over this.
Never thought of that

Should of got in early when all this PAT stuff started
