It didn't pay off for them but judging by substitutions alone they did commit themselves by trying to win the game. Pardew mugged again. :D

Tactical master stroke, bringing on two strikers and moving the one who had caused us problems and looked most likely to score for them into midfield.

Also keeping Sammy Ameobi on until the 88th minute, every time he got the ball their attacking moves broke down.
 
The bloke is a bare faced liar. Calling his players naive for going for the win when he brought a striker for a defensive midfielder as well as 2 other attacking subs. Utter **** of a man.
 
It was 4 on 3 in favour of them as we moved towards their goal.

The bloke is full of dung, always spinning a line to spare blame from his dreadful organisation.
 
Of course they overcommitted, and it was was his tactics the twat.

Reserved in the first half, then bring on strikers with 20mins to go and play like they're a goal down.

We were always going to score on the counter.

I remember saying to Pete, who posts on here at the time, 'at least we have left someone up for this one'. We should never bring everyone back as it crowds the back and allows the opposition centre halfs to get forward.

We forced him into this with the previous three derby wins. He HAD to win this one and went all out for it, and it directly led to his 4th straight defeat.

There is a lesson to be learned here for the game at our place.
 
I hope Pardew remains their manager for decades. If there was ever a club he was most suited to, it's NUFC.

Just the other week (after a couple of wins) he was already saying bring on the big guns because as usual, he'd stumbled into a win and believed he was a genius. Didn't take for it to fall apart.

I hope they go onto a similar post-Xmas run like they did last season.

Good thing is, knowing Ashley hates spending on players unless he sells, I can only see outgoings in January.
He'll be gutted on all that wasted money on Cabella (sp ) and Riviere.
I see 3 defeats in the next 4 games for them..hell on
