There is a hell on a long way to go, and Roy's record at club level is quite good,they could easily stay up,loads of points still to play for, and they best players have been on injured and due to come back.
 
This gets my vote as the contender for 'Wish I hadn't posted when I was pissed' thread ....... every Friday night :lol:

Defo a decent bet. I think they'll certainly catch Bournemouth and Swansea up. 2 really poor sides
 
On paper their team isn't awful.

Considering their absolutely awful start it's crazy that they are only 5 points off safety.

In theory they could easily get out of it, it's a bit like us though and they need to start winning before the 5 points turns into 10 or more at which point it gets very hard with the number of games left
 
Roy will keep them up imo. They have good players and a good manager. It's similar to us when Sam came in, will take time to sort them out. Reminds me of Stoke a few seasons ago. I wouldn't be surprised to see them gain some points this weekend tbh

They will lose this weekend but then next weekend they will beat Newcastle, which is where it will start if it is going to happen.
 
It's not that they're 'only five points behind' that you should be looking at*, it's that they're only seven games into the season so anything could still happen.

*After only seven games you couldn't be much further adrift.
 
Assuming they lose today, that leaves 30 games to get 40 points at 1.3ppg
Over a 38 game season that would be 50 points.
So they are going to have to suddenly play like a team capable of finishing between 8th and 10th for them just to survive.
It's already over for them.
 
They have a squad full of players that would be quite happy to see them go down..They have a good manager though and they dont score goals. If i was the op id wait 3 or 4 matches you may just get better ofds. I dont think they will stay up tho. They have an awful defence barring sakho. Benteke is out for a few more weeks too
