I don't know any of the England cricket team personally, hence my comment that it's bizarre as it usually isn't a sport played by their demographic

Professional golfers probably don't play cricket in their spare time and reference it constantly in interviews

Perhaps they don't but in my experience many cricketers,both club and professional,favour golf in their downtime.
McCullum's recent reference to golf when discussing Cox replacing Smith seemed wholly irrelevant. I interpreted as as sly dig at the critics of his charges playing golf in their downtime.

Bashir isn't getting dropped. The only way Rehan plays is as part of a three man spin attack, which I don’t think we’ll do as our seamers have been effective.

It’s basically between Atkinson and Potts to play alongside Carse. And even though Potts was very good last test it’ll be Atkinson who plays you’d imagine.

Your probably right. But he was questioned on Rehan involvement.

I can’t see it. In England you can get away with him in a four man attack because he’s good when the ball is new and swinging. The new ball does basically nothing in these conditions so he has no role to play.

Thought Carse would have played given the week long break between tests. Three spinners and Atkinson as the only front line seamer is a massive gamble.

I think pro sportsmen take it up as they've normally finished work by lunchtime on non-matchdays. It keeps them out of the pub until teatime.

Been a recurring theme with us under McCullum. Always name the team a few days before hand.

Apparently we don't expect it to turn till day 3!
