Think people need to get over the last pitch a bit

It still produced 255 runs an innings, this wasn’t the Ahmedabad pitch
The best pitch for test cricket was the 2nd game.
Normal pitch preparation in effect in Pindi

Nobody moans when we leave an extra couple of mm on the Lords deck. It's a turner, pick your side and get on with it.

100%. The beauty of test cricket is coping with local conditions and adapting your game to it. I doubt it will be a big turner because you generally don't get those sort of wickets in Pakistan.

Taking the pressure off the players and the old fashioned need for hours and hours in the nets.
No-one can surely say this new regime has been anything but a success...
I'd give it a good go but after watching another Tim Nice but dim Wally Walter "masterclass" I'm not in the mood and I have other things to rant about!

Nee way man?

Any heating engineers on here? Would that even have an effect? I mean it's blaring sunshine anyway.

They can try what they want but if that is a good batting deck, they're Donald ducked.
Or if they lose the toss and have to bat last .

I'm not complaining about them trying to produce a turning wicket.

I'm just sharing the mad pitch preparation. Leaving grass on the wicket is somewhat conventional in pitch preparation

Lords is our worst ground in the last 10+ years so a bad example to pick.

Anyone I've ever known who likes it has been a boring middle aged accountant or insurance worker. Never met anyone my age or younger who is remotely interested in it! It's weird I agree

You don't follow cricket that closely then as most of the England cricket team play golf and not a boring middle aged accountant or insurance worker in sight

Crawley
Duckett
Pope
Root
Brook
Stokes
Smith
Ahmed
Atkinson
Carse
Leach

Given they won't drop Pope,if the pitch plays like the 2nd one then Roots bowling will come into it, 1st innings runs will be the order of the day.
