There's just far too many easy singles for the batsman post lunch, we are just allowing them to knock it around for 3-4 an over with no risk at all.

We should be going aggressive, bring the field up and force them to hit over the top

This morning is the worst I’ve seen from Ben in terms of captaincy, took far too long to get Ahmed on this morning when absolutely nothing was happening with Leach and Bashir, then he opted for Atkinson before Rehan.

Then, not bowling Rehan immediately after lunch was a very poor decision. What’s more, the short ball theory before bringing on Ahmed was the final insult.

Pakistan are going to get parity here, probably even a lead. Saud will never have scored an easier ton.
 
As said above, we really need the extra pace of Carse as the seam bowler on this surface. It's not like he would have had an excessive workload and surely more than proved himself up to it in the previous 2 games.

Frustrating is the word, I can’t remember the last time I was so annoyed at England. Tactics this morning have pissed me right off.

I’m off out with the dog, expect when I get back Pakistan will have a lead.

Played 2 games on the trot. They are never going to pick a proper quickie 3 tests in a row after the issues they've had with Archer, Wood etc.

Happens all to often where we get teams down, foot on their throat, but let them right back in it with peculiar tactics / decisions.
 
The field placings are ridiculous too. Ahmed has no protection at all on the offside to that forward prod. Batsmen shouldn’t be allowed to just dab it into the offside for a single, Stokes has two men in the offside ‘in the ring’ but neither is saving a single 🤷‍♂️

Honestly, this is no good at all for my health.
