Oxford and falling over.

Sadly all part of the modern game.
Unfortunately it has reached the lower leagues and that couple with poor officials leads to frustration on and off the field.

Need to have professional official in all 4 leagues. A step in the right direction.

Not sure how making them professional makes them any better?

It's obvious that certain teams will take advantage of the poor standard of officials.

Wimbledon did it from the start and tried to bully Sunderland out of the game.

It's pointless trying to match their tactics, we just have to smarter than them ...

.... oherwise we'll become them.
I agree. The result would have been different if Max Power hadn't been sent off. Our superior football will shine through more times than not.

They were utterly sackless and pathetic the way they went on yesterday. If the refs really want to clamp down on dissent then Christ half their team could have been booked yesterday, hopefully karma bites them hard.

It was hard though. He could have booked a couple of them for arsing around on the deck, but then what, carry on doing it to all their players? People say that players will stop if a ref starts booking or sending players off, but it didn't happen yesterday when Power got his red. If anything it got worse.

Would the referee have been getting praised if he had shown five red cards and another half a dozen yellows yesterday? No chance imo.

It’s called gamesmanship. Used to be called cheating, however it’s naive to think our players are all angels and playing in the Corinthian spirit every week tbf.
It is cheating no one thinks our players are angels, but that yesterday was blatantly obvious cheating. Unfortunately for us the ref fell for it

Marcus Browne was pathetic. Soft fucker was falling over trying to anticipate any contact & the ref was just playing his tune.

Oxford as a team were a bunch of shithouses, surrounded the ref from the first foul (by Honeyman). Hope they go down. Karl Robinson stands on sideline crying anarl

I only really noticed him in the second half but that Browne lad definitely seemed to be chief instigator. It would be interesting to see how many times he was involved in either a possible foul or being on the floor.

Nah, we do the same, problem is the ref lost control yesterday.

We lost control too.

What about our cheating? Some clear deliberate fouls throughout the match.

Deliberate fouls are part of the game, going down too easy isn’t. What game of football ha e you watched where there are any fouls!!

There were some instances when our players weren’t entirely blameless, but there is fuck all you can do if the moment there is any inclination to win the ball, the man throws himself to the ground and a weak referee gives him the free kick. They are intent on taking tackling out of the game. If that was a 10 yellow and 1 red card game, that tosser is going to have some lengthy reports to make.

Number 10 the worst of the lot. Signalled to come off, then they cancelled the sub they had planned for someone else, then starts wagging his finger at them.

The Oxford lads on their forum, and the ones that visited this one told us what they would do. And they did. They won’t be the last team to try this. We need to be smarter than we were yesterday. Another lesson learned..... hopefully.
I think that Jack Ross is a pragmatic enough coach to learn from games like yesterday and last week. He's not daft and he knows what sort a job he has to get us up. No disrespect to this league, but we are a huge club to be down there and some of the teams we come up against will be more interested in spoiling our tactics than playing their own....

Never seen players (most of them big lads) fall over at every tackle like that lot yesterday. It looked ridiculous.

It must be coached into them surely?

I've seen plenty of divers but this was different.
We also kicked the shit out of them which gave them every opportunity.
