imo he would be top 5 along with Steve bould. Yes Jo's can't pass a ball 5 yards without giving it away or has any type of pace  but he has been a very good steady away defender in his time here he organises the defence better than anyone and never really lets us down apart from the odd fuck up

Struggling to think of someone better tbh. I liked Thome and Evans but they probably only played about a seasons worth of games in PL.

awfully often for just 'the odd fuck up'

has been a decent signing for us but the amount of times he gets caught napping from set pieces or resorts to wrestling instead of proper defending is pretty shocking.

First two seasons he was fine. Now age has caught up with him. He's clearly not a leader and can't be relied upon.

Some are also guilty of being blinded by all those medals when the reality is he was a bit part player who couldn't hold a regular position at Man United.

Sorry but over a decade at man utd and close to 400 appearances suggests he had something about him..

Teams with proper leaders don't surrender as pathetically and as often as we have while he's been captain.
He's kept us up every season he's been here, including two unlikely great escapes, the one thing we haven't done with him as captain is surrender. Sure we've had the odd howler of a hammering but you can hardly blame the captain for that.

If o Shea can keep his fitness up he could have at least another season, not past it at 33..was more organisation when he came back in the team for Swansea, hopefully his partners will work with kaboul...
