Saw this clip from one of the hit and giggle tournaments in the UAE. Tom Curran walks out of his crease before the over is called, is given run out but the fielding team calls him back citing 'spirit of the game'.

Would you call him back if you were the fielding team or is it tough shit for being a bit dozy?

Thats out for me, why would he walk out when the throw hasn't even got to the keeper yet

Silly from the batsman. Common sense prevailed though, he was gaining nothing.

To summarise, the batsman was Tom Curran so it was out as fuck. The idiot.

Can’t disagree with any of that, he’s a clown for wandering off but since he’s not trying to gain any advantage I love (from a spirit of the game POV) that they’ve called him back.

I mean that's run out isn't it?

The ball is in play. Ball hasn't even reached the keeper and he's gone walkabouts.

If this was Sunday league fair enough call him back but this is professional cricket man. Tough shit.

The ball hasnt been thrown back so why is he wandering out of his crease? Its out as fuck imo and a lesson to not wander out of your crease until the over has been called.

Out. There’s absolutely no doubt whatsoever there that the ball is live. It’s more stupid that the Bairstow one and there shouldn’t be any guilt from the keeper
