They haven’t even decided on anyone yet. If it is Parkinson though then I can get behind it. Don’t see why people are feeling so negative about him if I’m honest.

Yep just like the takeover we didn't

Just like the takeover we didn't... ever get told was happening and was just made up by clueless websites giving folks some clickbait?

From day one SD said that he'd be looking for investors for when we got into the Championship. A "takeover" was never on the cards, it was always going to be "investment", and the wage restrictions for League 1 was always going to stop us from just buying our way out of the division.

Far too many folks counted their chickens before they were hatched and are now angry that it was all just yolk. If anyone feels like they've been kicked in the balls because of it, it's because they got their balls out and started parading them around saying "Hey everyone, look at my balls, they're immune from a kicking! Just try it, you'll see!"

All but done really though, isn't it.
I think the negativity comes because there are far preferred names (Pearson/Stendel/Rowett/even Ainsworth)

There is a very good reason he's been out of a job all year and also why have other teams not considered him? Because he's the love child of David Moyes and Howard Wilkinson that's why.

If it's renowned anti-football Parkinson, just when they know that everyone thought Ross was too negative, want to see us have a go, and could do with a lift, then they'll really have to hope it works out. Another poor decision will convince a lot of people that they need to go. Obviously their decision, I'll support whoever it is, but after Ross, the recruitment team being a bit shit and us not going up last season they're looking decidedly average/ poor on the football side of things. This manager needs to do the business for them
Ross wasn’t negative as such for me ,he just never had a clue what he was doing .

BSA was the anti-Christ of football and what he served us up was good to watch .Time will tell .

Like SD said we had the biggest budget in L1 he also hinted at a takeover and was seen showing the yanks around the SOL. Everything points one way then all of a sudden we 'misinterpreted' what was said and it's the fan's fault ?! These words and actions are misleading hopeful fans purely to keep them onside that things will happen, so stick with them

Parkinson has been promoted out of this league a few times before and was managing at this level as recently as a few months ago, so knows the players and what it takes (you’d hope). He had no money and a paper-thin squad at Bolton and did a good job with limited resources, got Colchester promoted to the Championship, and is a legend at Bradford for the way he turned their club around - good read today in the Chronicle from Mark Douglas about what he did with them that is worth a look.

I agree that there are some good options out there, but Parkinson certainly isn’t a bad one and I think some of the stuff being said is a bit unfair.

Two managers i hoped to forget, Embarrassment and humiliation 🤧🤮

If the rumours are true and Parkinson is to get the job then it shows how ridiculously badly we are run. Just look at what we’ve had to endure under Ross and now we’re looking at a manager who was criticised for his negative tactics at Bolton. Absolutely mental. We needed the takeover to go through to get rid of the fools making decisions at our club but something has scuppered that. Real shame we’re much bigger and better than the crap we’re seeing

The first bit is fine, speculation about our new manager is what the board is for.

The second bit is exactly why this board is such a joke at times.

You've called it speculation - but then by the second sentence you've accepted its true and then used this *truth* to attack the club and its owners without a shred of verifiable evidence.

This is the stuff of playgrounds, not grown adults discussing their team.
