It's difficult to say really. But the ironic cheers when Gooch went off were loud and noticeable. Evans was slightly different, he was warming up to come on at 2-1, they then scored again, the crowd got frustrated and we had a poor passage of play just before he came on which the crowd booed. I took the booing to be directed at the team rather than the sub but no doubt some will have been booing Evans. The Gooch one was pathetic though.
No matter how frustrating I’ll never understand someone booing our own.

It was a very changeable little exchange from where I was in the south . There were a good few ironic cheers at gooch going off , a few boos as he ran off that turned to "gooooch" and mixed clapping and booing for Evans coming on . I don't think it was Evans personally that got booed , just the strategy given he's principally a defensive player and we wanted the win

Must admit, they were singing "we can see you sneaking out" and I could hardly see anyone leaving. Great support. Aye some of the reactions to the substitutions weren't great, but on the whole there was great support. The singing at the end after the winner as well, mint
Their repertoire was typical away fan tripe “is this a library” “we can see you sneaking out” but best/worst of all “ toon army” 😳

Stuck with the team not many left early and the noise when that winner hit the net was something special.
I never went yesterday, but on the highlights on sky , as the cross comes in for broadhead to score you can hear the fans singing. Good to hear that we weren't getting on the teams back (though sad to hear about players like Gooch getting a bit of abuse)
Tbf no one dares leave early anymore ;)
Fab that the plethora of very late goals has stopped the exodus on 80 minutes that I was used to.

I thought a minority of our fans were really poor yesterday tbh. When things started going wrong plenty were on their backs, Gooch got booed off (ok he's limited to say the least but he gives 100%), and Evans got booed on FFS.

None of that really qualifies as the support we need in a crucially important match, and tbh we'd be better off without those morons.

Being good supporters is about a bit more than cheering goals and clapping your own attendance figure when it is read out.

Obviously all of the above was a minority.

Evans was booed on to the pitch. Believe what you want

The booing of Evans says it all really. He hasn’t had a great season over all but recently he’s been very good playing a specific role and has helped us balance attacking with some defensive stability.

The boos can only be coming from people who don’t know what they’re watching and can’t change their minds once they’re made up.

Gooch is frustrating at times as well in terms of hitting the first man but he works his socks off as a wingback and doesn’t deserve booing/ironic cheers.

Lad behind us, started slating Gooch in the first minute as he had a cross blocked, went down for a pint on 28 minutes. Went down at half time and he's jumping around singing his head off. Second half does nothing but slag Gooch off, then moves on to our support. Starts chanting 'our support is f***ing shite' at the top of his voice, leaves on 79 minutes.

🤷

Booed gooch allegedly when he came off according to some on here 🙄
Was more jeers than boos, but poor either way.

There were a few boos for Evans when he came on. Disgusting.

It was immense at the end once we grabbed the winner, but we have our fair share of idiots. More apparent yesterday with us having a bit of a bigger crowd and a few more fair weathers in.

I thought atmosphere was terrible yest tbh.
Yes great at end of match, but for 80 mins was deadly silent - we sit south east corner and (naughty of us..) moved to north east corner for second half

Evans booed on to the pitch and Gooch jeered off the pitch, belter aye.

If you wanna moan in the pubs or on here then fair enough, but when you're at the match just support the team man.
I will groan and moan when they do something shite, I will cheer and applaud when they do something good. I’ll hope for someone to be hooked if I they’re in need of it but I don’t understand why anyone thinks booing your own team achieves anything. Absolutely mental.

With regards Evans, I was crying out at 2 2 for someone to show a bit of leadership.
Although not a glamourous player, I think Evans is a leader on the pitch.
We have a lot of young players on the pitch, and we need someone who has a bit of resilience about him, prepared to keep going, and most importantly keep talking and motivating the others.

He is alright in my book.
