Our away end

Who can tell us what happened to this lad then, a few will know.

Picked up ticket from Tap (station) about 7, pissed bouncer off a bit by not putting jacket on, left his mate behind just crossing road to the pub over way... we all said "no chance he's getting in..." and clearly didn't or I'd have seen him about
What an absolute car crash of a thread to create
Funny tho

I think the OP is just pissed off but poor choice of word with 'purge', that's too much. Not everyone sings and that's standard stuff and always has been.
I completely get the sentiment. Like, I wish we sold out every game and that all of our fans sang their lungs out at every game.

I've also seen us break numerous records in terms of shit football; Nationally we broke plenty over the last couple of decades (thank you Derby for at least competing), followed by us having "literally and objectively the worst result in SAFC history" happen again and again as we sank through Division 3 and got put out of Paint competitions by U21 teams. Everyone is WELL within rights to not get excited.

Still, I do completely support OPs vibe, they just want more vocal. The way I see it (and thus how everyone should see it) is:

It's a non-zero sum, no-one loses, everyone wins situation.

- All want win
- All shout loud = slight % increase chance of win
- All win = slight % increase chance of shout loud
∴ Shout loud/win more/shout loud/win more/shout loud/win more/shout loud/win more/shout loud/win more/shout loud/win more/shout loud/win more/shout loud/win more/shout loud/win more/shout loud/win more/shout loud/win more/shout loud/win more/shout loud/win more/shout loud/win more etc

I don’t get to every away game but last night was one of the better atmospheres I’ve been to in a while. Great to see the fans back and applaud the lads off with very few leaving before full time.

I'd say its spectating. Unless it's support if you go to any sporting event and just watch it.

What about those that go and sing a bit but also boo or shout abuse at our players. What camp do they sit in?

Is that supporting, spectating or do we need a third category?
