O'Shea

After that we have a few maybes and a lot of definitely nots.
So, with the addition of 4 maybes, like the two Argentinian internationals and the Italian international and say? old Wes, we have a team much like any prem team outside the top 8, seems to me we have basically an average team, just like most of the other seasons that's gone before, the managers have changed, so we can assume that there's something else stopping us playing to our average potential, what do you reckon that is Rockster?

What's stopping us? With the current manager its the formation and his unwillingness to attack teams.
Also these managers have all brought in their own fair share of shite. Our squad is crap.

We're incapable of picking the right manager for the job.
I think the club think SAFC fans would combust if we had a 'fancy modern manager' in charge. We all like the direct, long ball game up here, apparently.

What stopped us with the last manager then? the one before that and the one bef,,,,I'll stop there fuck! I'm fucked naming them all, there's just so many!! lets just say, What's stopped us since 1958 that should cover it..;)

Even if we deliberately Tried to pick bad managers, by the law of averages we'd fuck it up one time and get it right man, have you ever seen the film "The Producers"

Is the answer you?
I don't know what the answer is Rockster, I know every f***ing season is like groundhog day and I'd really like something done about it, co's I'm getting a bit fed up.

Yip, its tiresome.

We're destined to be shit forever.
Seems like it, mind! I'm at the point where it no longer spoils my weekend, 10 minutes after the match and I couldn't care less, fuck them, they've destroyed to much of my time.

Ok so it was all his fault was it - no way. The ball bounced off the pitch totally unnaturally - it's no wonder he has to boot the ball out when he gets it cos all the bloody players are camped along side him with no outlet - you cannot say he invited pressure on when we are always under pressure because of the tactics we employ.

You need to look at the wider problems with the team and not focus on o shae

The ball should never be allowed to bounce from a set piece played at height into the box. We have conceded loads of goals this season and last from free kicks and corners because we don't attack the ball. When you attack and win the ball the danger is snuffed out.

I'm not blaming only O'Shea for this. All our defenders are guilty of being obsessed with wrestling with players and ignoring the flight on the ball. It's basic defending to attack the ball as well as marking up.

Normally you might hit the ball into row Z. However, against a team who are playing a bit like say Stoke under Pulis and on a poor pitch you should get the ball as far away from your goal as possible. Play the game in their half then if mistakes happen (like both goals) they happen a long way from your goal. Again basic percentage football IMO.

We were laughing at the Coloccini rumour ffs.

Coloccini is an argentinian bloke who'd rather be in Argentina than England & can hardly lead on the pitch nevermind off it. O'Shea is Irish and from an academy with a long-standing reputation of developing PL managers having spent the vast majority of his career winning league titles under the greatest British manager of all time.

No difference at all.

Our next manager has to be experienced enough to manage our bunch of bastards and get the best out of them .... and have the support from the board to weed out the problem players and bring in better players.

Big ask.

We've been there and done that and it didn't work...
