Oscar Chamberlain

He's right about the PA system (much better now we have a new one), but how dare he diss DoTK!

What was that awful music Methven was playing too? That was/is a load of shite

'So gaffer a disappointing defeat today at Charlton Athletic but I guess the important thing is not so much today's match but how the lads bounce back from it and how they prepare for their big match next week, when I'm sure you think it will be really important that the fans put today's match behind them, get behind the team, and show the opposition how loud the Stadium of Light can be?'

The interviewing equivalent of getting someone to simply tick a load of tickboxes on a piece of paper.

The clip of Methven claiming that Dance of The Knights doesn't get you up for it is probably right. However, as shown now, it takes clear leadsrship to recognise that despite it not being a 'hype' song, it doesn't need changing.

DoTN is part of being a Sunderland fan. It's recognisable. You hear it on the TV and you instantly associate it with SAFC.

All it needed was extras. They didn't need to change the actual walk out song. And those extras weren't even much. The fog horn/ship whistle at the beginning paying homage to SAFC and Sunderland's history is all you needed to get fan's up for the game, out of the concourse, and ready to cheer the lads on to the pitch. Not a random Prodigy song with no link to Sunderland. Recognising that is proper marketing. That's the difference between Methven and what we've got now.

Ill never complain of dotn.

God the utter shite everton play all day 🤮!

Well he's been alright whenever I've interacted with him, don't know him personally like.

Surely it was Enzo's and he asked the photog/media lad to help him out with it?
Probably aye. Enzo would’ve definitely got a telling off. Just think with it being a staged moment for social media there would’ve been some choice words getting thrown about in that department. And don’t call me Shirley.

Dont know Oscar at all and had no dealings with him.

Think he joined us from Barnet when we were in the shite and without a pot to piss in. Then with people being made redundant or leaving he seemed to keep getting promoted due to nobody else being there and save appointing someone externally. Now, there is a bit more money in the kitty is prob right time to move on and get an established person with experience of level and above.

Then again he could have chosen to leave to seek a better opportunity.

Nice lad is Oscar, did a hell of a lot of work during the dark days when the club had a skeleton staff.

Of course he didn’t get everything right, everyone’s made mistakes in their professional life.

It’s daft having a go for the questions he asks in the club post-match interviews. He’s hardly going to ask difficult questions.

Wish him all the best for the future.
