WMS OPINION: Black Cats Bar controversy is another insult to Sunderland supporters

Just wondering if it was a cash grab.. are we in a bad place financially in terms of self sustaining?

Just seen about notts forest could be right in the shit

Do we know whose idea it was? The club statement seems to suggest that the owners and directors share the fans' disgust with what happened, so presumably they must know who it was...

Thing is honest truth . We win on sat all this will be forgotten about. They could have had portraits of shearer up . Won't matter if we win on sat simple as that!! Get into them !! Hawaaaaaaaayy !!!

Thing is, honest truth. If we win on Saturday that will be great and everyone will be happy. This won't be forgotten though, it's just the latest example of the club owners and their appointees treating Sunderland fans with contempt, they are proving to be very Methven like

We will see all valid points . But win Sat be forgotten about by most . Lose . This wil be catalyst for end of kld

Whoever made the decision to allow the bar to be decorated in mag colours needs sacking. Simple as. It's so ridiculously stupid I was convinced it was a massive troll. Nobody with even the tiniest knowledge of this club would allow that to happen.
The sad thing is that the nobody with even the tiniest knowledge of this club happens to own us.

It’s not just knowledge of this club - when have you ever heard of or seen anything like this when we’ve gone away anywhere?
Just not normal. Off the wall.

Don’t see this as the owners fault but whoever’s agreed to allow it needs to go, and how could you not even check it and sign it off !
The BCB "refurb" probably isn't anything to do with KLD but it is yet another shambolic decision off the field to add to many others which people have been trying to raise with the club for years. He is well aware of many of these and needs to be proactive and address them because at some point the buck will stop with him. This incident should end with someone out of a job, they should be replaced with someone competent. Then the other issues should be addressed.

Luckily for KLD the on field stuff has been largely positive, but even that is about to come under scrutiny. We're at the stage where we're starting to sell people and fans will rightly expect to see these fees reinvested and for progress to be made. Continuing to fail to replace Stewart properly, and not properly replacing any other first teamers who leave, will increase pressure in that regard. On and off the field it currently looks like doing everything on the cheap; cash grabs for a derby, buying unproven kids. Need to see some signs of genuine ambition and that can start with not accepting pathetic standards off the pitch

Proven or unproven argument doesn’t stand up with me we just need a few good players regardless of ages or experience, we haven’t had time to re invest the Stewart money and hopefully we will see some of that in the transfer window that’s just opened. I think this could be the straw that breaks the camels back for the people responsible for the off the field issues
