And that would achieve what?
i think some people just want to do something even if realistically it won't achieve anything major. just to feel better. just to feel like they have at least tried. just to satisfy an itch or to vent some anger, or to at least be able to say ' i tried ' so as to not be accused of apathy. like the nice feeling you get when you give 50p to charity. not going to achieve much, but its still not a bad gesture. also, its fine not to protest, and not to put 50p in the charity bucket. theres no right or wrong answer, and if one person doesnt want to protest and one person does, its even more pointless them then arguing over it trying to convince the other one way or the other. i'm 50/50 split on whether i would attend, and 90% sure it would achieve fuck all. the main point is though, for me anyway, that it can't possibly make the situation any worse.
