highlighting how bad we have been run, how bad the club has been treated and the fact that the fans are not happy at all and want a change rather than just doing nothing at all and continuing as we are hoping for a miracle to happen

So let's say we have 20,000 season ticket holders, 5,000 to 10,000 are not happy at all and chuck their renewal pack on the pitch, causing the game to be delayed/potentially abandoned.

This would give us a lot more coverage than we are currently getting and would be shown on sky sports,twitter,papers, it might even make talksport. All world wide publicity, which at the minute we hardly get any

These have millions of viewers who won't have a clue about Sunderland other than the fact they just think we are shit.

It would get people talking about the club, how come a club like that be ran so badly,alerting others to our situation and who knows what might come if it, who knows what it would achieve but at least we would be seen as doing something rather than doing nothing at all whilst the club sinks further and further down the footballing ladder.

We can't expect to see a change, if we don't do anything at all.

Or we could just come on here after another defeat week after week and moan, argue, vent our frustration with the club because that seems to be working well for us.

I'm exaggerating but there's a basis of truth.

The Happy Hammers foolishly believed their conmen chairman were lying to everyone else but being truthful with them.

They were promised the seats would be moved closer to the pitch, top class football and a new bubble machine.

After the march they'll feel all pro-active, empowered and applaud the unveiling of the new machine.

Think cos they won the world cup in 66 they are a big club.
Upton Park was a shithole a disgrace.

So it was West Ham who won the world cup??? And here was me thinking for the last 51 years it was England. You learn something new every day
 
Another issue with a protest, of course, is the reality that our plight means bugger all to most fans of other clubs. Raising their awareness won’t have much impact imo

Good post mate. As far as publicity goes, not many outside the north east will know owt about it. The more publicity this gets, the more Shorts name and reputation gets questioned and dragged through the mud as well. He won't want that at all and potentially harm his other interests. All this talk of selling/giving the club away, is it a coincidence it's come about just as newspapers are reporting on it and asking questions about him?

Our plight is starting to gain national attention now. This week there have major pieces on us in The Guardian and the i. Ok it's not the Sun or The Star but it's a start.
