On the beach or sussed out?

Listening to big Sam this morning, he fears it could relegate us and I agree with him.
Too much too soon
I disagree, I would love Europe
Since English teams were let back into Europe in 1990 only 1 team who has played in Europe has been relegated.

For the third time 🙄, not based solely on today’s game. Did you miss the 9 goals we conceded in two games last week?
Could that simply be the manager getting team selections wrong and making us much less solid as a result? Both, iirc, saw Diarra and Le Fee in for example, with Le Fee sacrificed. Both games also saw Rigg in. So no protection for Mukieke. Then there's individual errors and a bit of misfortune hoyed in too.

Edit. Iirc for those two games a virus was going through the squad.

Did you miss the fact that diarra missed a great chance v villa to win the game which would have been an unbelievable comeback from 3-1 down away to a team in the champions league places

Nope, I saw it but we still conceded 9 goals in a week.
No. I'm probably roughly half way through my life and have never seen us play in Europe. I want to.

If you could guarantee we would play in Europe in the next few years I wouldn't mind. But no one can.

Football is about the memories, and achievements. I don't give a toss about being an also ran in a football division ruined by money. What's the point in that?

So Conference league playing Lincoln Red Imps or Shamrock Rovers would fulfill that desire? And you’d see your team relegated to achieve it.

What do we think?
How do you mean? We were leading away today, and even having a man sent off we still played well and had some chances to win it.
Today was a good performance

Just a shame our run in is very tough compared to the visitors, looking unlikely we finish above them sadly. Hope I'm wrong.

I’ve said exactly that on another thread marra. I was hoping to open the debate up regards tactics, hence the “sussed out” in the thread tutle.

It's called football mate I'm not sure how long you've been watching it for but shit like that has happened for decades.

In that case it's not sussed out either as he moved away from the usual tactics in those games. Tactics that saw us more solid.

We've had plenty on here fuming about us not being more attacking. Saying once safe he should experiment etc (I think some thiught the sound defensive record was down to the back four, rather than the whole team set up). He then did a bit of tinkering. We scored three. Conceded four. And heads exploded. And then against Forest the entire team and fans collectively exploded.

Today's selection is a move back to what it should be. Unfortunately we went down to ten men with most of the game still to play.

We did, I’m not really basing it on today, more an observation over a the last few games when relegation was avoided but there was still a lot to play for….an outside chance of Europe and a lot of extra PL prize money up for grabs.

Similar to last season when we still had an outside chance of top 2, but give up the chase once play offs were secured, to focus on them.

No, just happy that we’ve stayed up very comfortably when most thought we were certainties for relegation. It’s called realism.
Aye and realism is form and our defense and it continuing into next season. You need momentum for the next one and our form is very poor
