Ollie Robinson

Yes, he’s already on their radar and he’s exactly what they need in all formats - an aggressive wicketkeeper batsman who has all the shots.
You think Robinson has a chance at test level? Lot of traffic ahead of him before that I would have thought

Yes I do, because he plays exactly how they want their batsmen to play.
Be interesting to see if it happens. Hopefully we get a good couple of seasons before the FTECB stop him from playing for Durham

I think he’s behind, bairstow, woakes, probably billings as it stands . Possibly even butler if those three all went down pre a test this summer

I think he will be a very good player for us but already 4/5 people ahead of head. He would have to me next level impressive to even enter the conversation.

We would have to get into division one as well I really like what I see so far but very small sample size.

yeah its fair enough, but its clear I think when someone just stands out at domestic level, remember it with Stokes well and Potts most recently.

I am sure scouts do but sometimes when you are sad enough to sit and watch every ball of 4 day game, the class is obvious and stands out, even when they don't score many runs

I think Tom Mac will become an excellent keeper. He didn’t keep for Scotland in the WC qualifiers though.

What games do those play in the hundred miss? The one day stuff?
Yep we lost Raine and Potts for most of the tournament in 2021 as they got picked for Superchargers. In spite of their absence throughout the tournament we made the final.

However Bedders got called up for the Hundred final as a last minute replacement which was the day before our final. He then got a duck in the final for us.

Almost like messing with his preparation meant we didn't get the best of him that day.

I have no real memory of the 2022 campaign but no doubt Raine was with Superchargers and Potts England. Bedingham may have been picked up properly too I don't recall.

Hopefully were somewhat strong for 2023. Feel like we've got a group of players that will want to win it if we're not weakened by the micky mouse competition.
Edit: We're without Carse,Potts,Sowter who were retained by the Northern Superchargers and Oval Invincibles. Then Ollie Robinson got picked up as a wildcard by the superchargers ffs.

we will lose De Leede too, just looked at the Squad why anyone would use an overseas place on Parnell is beyond me after his blast performances

Ahh yes missed him. The article from Durham was from Feb 2023 which didn't include Robinson or De Leede.

FInger on the pulse from the media team doing an updated one to inform their fans of which players won't be available for the entirety of August.

RE Parnell it's a case of get who they can get. Most of the big hitters on the T20 circuit don't even bother with the Hundred.

There all playing in the USA instead in a tournament that doesn't even count to their T20 stats but the hundred does
