Well, he's injured. If he does sign, yet again we'll be signing an injured player who will likely miss games from the off. These deals should have been done sooner. If we couldn't agree a suitable fee, we make it know it's our final offer and move on.

Alan Durban was asked to look at Connolly for us. He found out that Connolly had signed a pre-contract with Feyenoord and suggested that his strike partner SKP might be an option. Durban did the same with Craddock - he was originally asked to scout Danny Glanville at Cambridge but a transfer to Chelsea was already agreed

I was at the game on Friday, only go the odd few games now. Found Friday to be utterly boring, state of the game as a whole now isn't what it used to be. I couldn't sit and watch Charlie Wyke pretend to be a footballer, was bad enough one game on Friday. Never known such a weak centre forward like him. Football now is generally shit, entertainment isn't great, TV dictates, way too much money involved even at the lower levels. These all seater stadiums are souless. Just generally shit really.
