The team will change over January, and a lot of our best players will be back from injury soon enough.

Enjoyed it. Would have prefered a more comfortable win obviously but much better than losing or 1-1 again which is surely the main thing.

Imagine Diamond and McGeady either side of a good striker, with our fullbacks getting into the box when crosses come in. A few tweaks and we're really not far from getting back on track.

Playing Power, Leadbitter and Scowen in midfield doesnt fill me with a lot of hope.
No but he needs to have a look at what he has. I think a front 3 of McGeady, Diamond and one other is far more positive than anything you could hope to see from Parkinson. I'd like to see him persist with Grigg and maybe give Danny Graham a job as ball boy to get the balls on the pitch quicker, and tidy up any rubbish in the stadium.

Negatives - Wright is struggling and looks a liability in a flat back four. Too many of our players seem to lack the fitness levels to complete 90 minutes.
Hopefully just fatigue (he's not long back from a pretty serious injury mind), he's consistently done well a level above us so surely hasn't suddenly become irreparably shit (though you never know with Sunderland)

It really wont take alot of changes to get a promotion worthy team out there. Digusting some of the player purchases in the summer mind

Graham as ball boy? :) if he moves as fast as he does on the pitch it could be a long watch.

Aye its not like he's spent much time thinking about this scenario n that. Mebees he's the dweeb who gets the girl too...

Seriously mate.

Sometimes people give away way tooooo much about themselves without realising it.

And I reckon this was one of those moments.
@Father Jack Hackett

:lol:

It also brought a moment of light relief to that most depressing of threads on here for the last few years, the match thread.
Thank you.

Look to see a lad called Han-Noah Messengo coming. Played 25 times for City last season under Johnson, only once this year. 19 yo French midfielder.

Interesting one him. I've just had a look, he cost them £7m last summer at just 18 years old. The youngest ever Frenchman to play in the Champions League (presumably beaten by Camavinga this year) as well. 8d be shocked if we can bring someone like that in, even if it is on loan.

Plus points were obviously Diamond, Power looking a lot more adventurous and Grigg showed some good touches (mind, nowhere near sufficient movement in the box)
