idk I still think that's OK, i'd be tempted to do the same if I did a piece on say Juventus. It's just nice to reminisce whatever team it is.

I've heard of stories of players not knowing what competition they're playing in when they turn up to play. Leads to awkward exchanges later on in the season when they've moved clubs and ended up playing a game despite being cup-tied. I'm pretty sure it's a question on the form when they're being registered, i.e. "what competitions have you appeared in this season?"
