OK, time to really start worrying about climate change:

Spare some sympathy for the Irish:

<< Decreases in the global supply of barley lead to proportionally larger decreases in barley used to make beer and ultimately result in dramatic regional decreases in beer consumption (for example, − 32% in Argentina) and increases in beer prices (for example, + 193% in Ireland). >>

"A study published Monday that looked at beer's growing popularity and a potential decline in barley harvests linked to climate change showed prices for beer could double, or even triple, in countries including the U.S."

Stop being drunks = problem solved.
Yeah, right.

A lot of crops have ben hit this year due to the weather around the world. There's a huge shortage of leeks forecast, and we could be struggling for brassicas in the run up to xmas (sprouts, broccoli etc). On a positive note, September had perfect conditions for Raspberries. Raspberry Gin is the way forward.
