Theres nowt like the annual takeover/ investment thread. Its the same every time.....

News breaks that there's someone new coming in.
Everyone tries to guess who. SD and CM are blamed for everything from world starvation to Putins war. Kidnapping of SD's children by Sunderland supporters is mentioned.
Nothing then happens for weeks on end as that's just how long these things take but of course we all want the 3 month process sorted today.
Meanwhile, as we all desperately want more info at 7am in the morning after catching up on 10 pages of absolutely nothing frustration starts and an endless debate about 'the ITK's' rages. Who are they, are they taking the piss, who is the source, they know nowt, well I know who he is and he's the nicest fella you could ever meet etc.
The word 'done' is debated. Is it when they verbally agree a price, when they shake hands, when the documents are signed or EFL approval? Who knows but it's certainly worth arguing about while we wait.
Despite both being essentially the same, bizarrely the two forums have a pop at each other as if it is two opposing world ideologies clashing in a forum cold war.
After a while with still no news the 'its off isn't it, Donald has moved goalposts again FFS, i knew the ITK's were talking shite' messages start. The ITK's are rounded up for a virtual lynching. Some ITK's say they are withdrawing for a few days as its all become a bit much.
Months and about a million posts, 6 bannings, spies with new usernames from each forum outed later something actually happens.
Everyone rejoices - briefly.
Grumpy Old man is asked at least 32 times what it all means.
Some companies house documents are posted by someone who must haved stayed on .gov website for 6 straight weeks without sleep so he could be first.

And then we all go back to 'normal'.
 
I'm out at a nice tapas restaurant and I come on here to get some ownership update or at the very least learn more about the slave trade and all I see is blokes arguing about other blokes. Got nothing better to do?

I doubt Kyril will give up majority control. He also has incredible potential resources in future, it's not like he needs a billionaire investor to prop him up, just someone who can match his ambition to get to the PL. Maybe they will be a billionaire though, that would be nice.

Someone pulling in the same direction and perhaps providing different viewpoints and no SD and CM will make it a very good deal as far as I'm concerned.

Both boards are for Sunderland fans and that is all that matters, the moderation is different but you will always get that on any forum, because people are different. Just accept that there is another, not so busy forum for Sunderland fans that all want the same thing. The bickering between the two is f***ing childish in the extreme. “Aye but they started it“.

There is absolutely no doubt that the ego’s of the so called ITK’s on RTG and 606 for example would have seen them name names if they knew who the new investor(s) were, so currently they don’t know much.

Personally I find it quite heartening that we don’t know who any new investor names are because in reality this is the way it should be as with most (not all) big hitters and high end business deals things are kept well under wraps until things are professionally announced.

There’s too many people trying to be precious about whatever it is that’s happening at our club right now and whilst some of the so called ITK’s say they just want to find out info so that they can inform fellow supporters, the truth is they are looking also to massage their own ego’s, that’s quite clear.

They should remember that if they did know any names etc and released them into the public arena they could potentially scupper any deal that is currently being negotiated.
