I was there. Saw it first hand. Players got it with both barrels like I've never witnessed before and it was fully deserved.

We've had a few bad years since relegation but before that 10 solid years in the top division, including the highest scoring FA Cup semi final in decades, a FA Cup final and European football. You can't have it all roads all the time.

Take it as it comes etc.

Had you lot nailed on for play offs and to push for top 2 way back in October....then u fell off a cliff......it fine margins in games in this league

I said on another thread that we were in a false position at the time and so it proved. The side just isn't balanced enough in certain areas. Add onto that the most ridiculous injury situation I've ever known and we've ended up doing really well to avoid a relegation battle.

They have all the finance backing from Bet365. Probably the richest owner in the championship - or certainly one of them. Then on paper, they have a very good manager in Mark Robins.

But every time I see them, they look really shit.

They’re a long way off being promotion contenders.

Yeah tbf you forget, well I did as a none Stoke fan, how well Stoke did. I hope things improve for you. Will you fill that stadium again?

Have to admit mind, Stoke one of the most hostile unfriendly grounds I visited in 90s but maybe things have changed...

Think they were definitely in around the play off spots near December.

The problem is in second half of seasons they drop off massively. Think they’ve got the 2nd worst form in the championship in the new year - only just ahead of Sheff Wed.
 
The ten years we were last in the PL them and West Brom always seemed to give us fits. Could throw Southampton and the Welsh clubs in as well. Tough old league.
