Oatcake not happy again (at us again)

Seem like a basket case club. Was this the year their FFP issues went away so they could spend? Wasn't sure if they'd spent a lot and what they bought was shite or if they were still hamstrung by it.

Aye, the lad who was just your average run of the mill footballer.
Thought he'd be a bit of a club legend tbh. Heavily featured in one of your best run of seasons in most of our lifetime? I mean he's a Scouser like which should rightfully work against him but always seemed a good honest pro.

Seeing as the original Oatcake Not Happy thread got changed to Happy when Neil went

Whoever he is, Malcolm has been on a year-ish long campaign now about not being allowed to take vapes and coins into the SOL

Invited into the SoL control room today

But can't help but comment that he makes reference to their fans hoying beer and pyros at Rotherham

Yet objects to SOL chiefs not allowing coins and vapes in the away end

Kind of negates his argument

This he's some sort of Stokie fan rep. May be wrong

Bit of a wally eh
vaping should not be allowed in any public spaces, never mind a football stadium....disgusting filthy habit as is smoking

Just because he played for them for a few years doesn’t mean he should have a boardroom role - especially the main technical director.

It’ll be like us giving a role similar to Speakman’s to Phil Bardsley.

What about if he's an intelligent lad who can do the role. Plenty of continental clubs appoint ex players in a similar role.

Football ability and IQ arent linked

I don't know his qualifications (or lack of) for the role tbf. Just thought his general standing at the club might have afforded him some extra leeway.

I feel the drop would do them good, give them a chance to reflect and rebuild.
Said nobody ever. If we went down we'd likely struggle for a fair few years down there.

He isn't any of that. He was appointed in a temporary role last year when we were struggling, to chuck out a few rebel rousing videos with the fans to create an atmosphere. A cheerleader if you like. It worked and we survived.

Rather than taking his time and go for a talented and experienced DOF in the summer our owner made it a permanent move before the end of last season. Within 5 games of this season he was falling out with Schumacher and appointing this donut.

If I had my way neither would be here in the first place but certainly now they both would have been sent down the road weeks ago.

When you are on a bad run no one better to play than us so you will probably start the turnaround Sunday
