Early summer here , pitches will be green ,with a fair amount of rain .
Mt Maunganui is a great place for the first test ,one of the best places in NZ .

A tour to NZ will always be great as it's a beautiful country, but once again tests and ODI's have been devalued at the expense of T20's which can't be healthy for the longer-term prospects of each format.

I’m not sure missing out on a bilateral ODIs series in NZ is that much of a scandal like, they ain’t very well attended in nz like

People like the T20s in those parts of the world.

There should obviously more tests

you thinking about going mate? or saving for South Africa?

I am just gonna go for this one, sick of playing it safe.

Might fly in to Auckland for last T20 and then warm up games etc

Doing SA this year anyway but would love to do NZ some time. Would be top of my list if it was a bit closer but feel I would need at least three weeks to make it worthwhile and that just isn't practical

"There will be live commentary on all games on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra."

Thank fuck for that. Fuck off Talksport

Two long tours mind. Lot of travelling and a lot of cricket. Wouldn't be surprised if it turns into a nightmare winter of poor results tbh, with our recent record in away Tests

Lot depends on Wood and Archer, and how good they are

Get it booked this time mate, no wavering!

The first test sounds like a class one to go to, ground looks lush.

Flew into Auckland, for the 2018 test. 7 hours to Dubai, 16 more hours to Auckland. Arrived 11.20 Got to eden Park for 14:00 (it was a day night test starting at 2). Just over an hour later England were 27 for 9!!!
