Newcastle and Bruce both massively disliked by Sunderland fans, yet some on here are pleased to see Bruce and news comfortably survive and finish at the dizzying heights of 12th.
Been an absolutely dismal season but a decent run makes it look ok in the end.
Mad.
Bruce. Did. Not. Get . Grief. Here. For . Being. A. Mag.

You do realise we’re trying to wind you up? Nobody really thinks the fat knacker is any good man
He’s done well enough that we can construct a daft argument about him and Rafa but that’s about it.

You don't seem to have picked up on my sarcasm.

Yes, Ashley has done a good job there, but he's not going to give the unwashed the success they crave.

While he has Bruce carrying out his orders, they'll continue to be flirting with relegation and the natives will continue to be restless.

ah, my apologies

Psychologists would be frantically flicking through the medical journal to diagnose that state of mind.

I think between Newcastle, Sunderland and even Villa the reasons all three sets of fans dislike Bruce are probably the same. The excuses, the diverting of blame, the way he makes out he's a victim of circumstances and just unlucky. That the fans are wrong. Three big fanbases all united in their dislike of the same manager. The common denominator being Bruce.

A very fair and balanced assessment. Be careful. Newcastle Sunderland threads are not typically open to fair comments.

I didn’t really mind him. He had one bad summer here when he didn’t replace Bent, Gyan and Welbeck and probably had to go but he seems like a decent bloke

Before a ball was kicked today, Newcastle could have finished as low as 17th, which would have netted them £13.6 million
Moving up to 12th means the Magpies will receive £30.6 million, which could potentially be huge for the club in terms of transfers this summer.
jesus wept.

Aye I have changed my mind about him. He's totally mint and definitely world class and that. 12th place. What a time to be alive. Can't wait to circle the drain again next season!!!
A very respectful position for a club that's been in the championship recently and hasn't won a trophy since 69?

Have to give Ashley a lot of credit. Fans were all having a full scale meltdown and demanding a sacking a couple of months ago. Screaming on social media, standing outside the training ground with a cabbage etc.

He ignored them when many would have buckled. He has been proven right, and he has reaped the rewards.

Mike will be happy. Look out for an invoice with an over-inflated transfer fee on it, as a mechanism for extracting funds.

That one is put out there for all those who believe he paid £40m for Joelinton.

Just as well Ashley's the owner really or the knife would really but getting twisted.

No offence but I hope you lose ASM and Almiron plus Willock doesn’t sign. If that happens Bruce will flounder.
Be great to see Gayle and Carroll leading the line for yous next season with Shelvey pulling the string
