Sadly way the industry is going. Gotta churn out content content content to get the ad revenue to keep it all going. There's no time to produce a paper and an online edition both unique as each other. If you only do one no one will read your website or they'll just wait until it goes up there.

Target audience bunch of tateys..

Must work or else they wouldn't do it.

I reckon its a circle of a few people on social media (journalists included) all just telling each other "what they've heard" and the likelihood is there's little truth in any of it. The story is pretty much feeding itself now.

Long may it continue obviously.
Have you watched the film The Dissident?

If not, have a look at the ease at which social media is influenced and by who.

It does, sadly. I'd say in the last few years football writing has migrated in two very different directions. You've got your free clickbait, like the Chronicle, which will give you news and insight, but will also write an article about a third-hand story with quotes from a pundit for 'Football Insider'.

On the other end you have the Athletic. You pay them for 5,000 words Jude Bellingham with quotes from his PE Teacher and Milkman. And that's before we even discuss the absolute tidal wave of podcasts. I remember being told by a lot of execs podcasts were dying four years ago.

World Health Day and they are intermediately on this tweet by @PIF_en. Could they get more cringe-worthy?

It is. It a 10 year in the making Go Fund Me initiative. They want to raise £3 million. Be fine. £010p each from their millions of worldwide fans
"I've said this before but I think that when Mike Ashley sells Newcastle United the only thing worth selling is its fanbase. Without the fans the club is worthless.

How about being in the Prem with a guaranteed 100m? That is worth something or even relegated 55m and then 45m in parachute payments. The only reason fans are there now is that it looks shite on TV otherwise.
